Hot off the internet press so to speak, fresh from the cutting room of my computer is the 2008 video presentation, after the jump… Read the rest of this entry »
Post SSP Post 2
28 07 2008Well, I have done some pretty significant (for what stuff I have) work on the slideshow already, and so I just wanted to remind those of you who will see this to bring your pictures on Wednesday if you remember as well as any music you would like to see in the presentation. I already have about 4 minutes of music I want to use, so I can probably use 2 or 3 more songs…

Capture the Flag – UPDATE
23 06 2008Well, apparently Karl “traded” his good leg to an injured man out of the kindness of his heart. This coupled with the fact that only 4 people from CUMC’s youth group could play and the supposed fact that it was “too hot to play” and thus, we were unable to utterly destroy CUMC officially and had to settle for a forfeit. There was brief talk of rescheduling, so keep your ears open.
SIDE NOTE: We don’t have enough info to merit a seperate post, but CUMC (specifically Karl) has invited us to a beach party on the 11th or 12th of July. Once again, more info to follow…

Capture the Flag
18 06 2008We have issued our challenge to Cornerstone to play Capture the Flag and we are playing on 2:00 pm Sunday, June 22. Unfortunately, they outnumber us about 3:1 so we have to recruit urgently! Also we have to make an awesome flag. I tried to call Chuck Norris to take on Karl, but I accidentally called Karl instead. Kinda fishy they have the same phone number, don’t you think?
Was anybody else planning on bringing a horse?

Beginning our Revelations Study
18 06 2008The following weeks in which we are beginning our Revelations will be a little bit hectic due to scheduling conflicts, so this is how it will go down:
We will begin our Revelations Study on Sunday, June 22. The following Saturday (June 28), we will be meeting at the Starbucks on Imperial and Kraemer between 7:00-8:00 pm to continue it. Be sure to bring money if you want to buy a drink. On Sunday, June 29 there will no study and on Wednesday, July 2 we will have a substitute as Amanda will be out of town.

Youth Benefit Concert for SSP
25 05 2008On Friday, May 23, the group put on a benefit concert. The concert featured performers from the youth group as well as performers from Fullerton Junior College. The performances were excellent and we had left over fundraiser chocolate for concessions. The event was a huge success raising $964.75 for our missions trip. We greatly thank all of those who supported us by buying tickets and concessions.
Program after the jump…

May/Now June Activity
27 05 2008We are thinking of playing Capture the Flag with CUMC on June 14 (Saturday). Following this, we (PUMC) would go back to the church for a lock-in. We could force the parents to cook breakfast for us, and then we could go to 8:00am service in our PJs. Comments?
